Lana Del Rey's Complete Dating History (2024)

If there’s a word to describe Lana Del Rey’s music, “romantic” might spring to mind. The singer and songwriter loves to make songs about love and relationships, but she rarely comments extensively about her actual relationships in public.

But she has had a few of them and several rumored engagements. Here’s Lana Del Rey’s complete known dating history so far.

Barrie-James O’Neill

Del Rey’s longest known relationship was with Scottish singer Barrie-James O’Neill, who she was first linked to in 2011. His band Kassidy opened for her in 2013 during her Paradise Tour and they were rumored to be engaged. She opened up about their time together in a 2012 interview with Just Jared.

“When I met my boyfriend … we always say that the entire time we were writing for each other, but we didn’t know it until we met each other,” she said. “So, you feel like even though you didn’t know the person then, all the songs are for them now. That’s romantic.”

But in 2014, she told Swiss newspaper 20 Minuten that they weren’t together anymore.

“We are currently not together,” she said. “He is a wonderful person. But there are some things he has to deal with. I will not explain it in detail. This was hard on our relationship. I no longer felt free.”

They seem to have remained friends and even worked on music together. O’Neill is credited as a producer on her 2021 album Blue Banisters.

Francesco Carrozzini

In mid-2014, Del Rey was linked with Italian director Francesco Carrozzini when photos were published of them together in Portofino, Italy. The director was behind the camera for her music video “Ultraviolence,” released in August 2014. Carrozzini reportedly told Hürriyet Kelebek that he lived with her in Los Angeles for a period after moving from New York.

“We have a quiet, isolated life in Los Angeles. We are in our own world,” he said. In November 2015, E! reported the pair had split after a little more than a year with no indication as to why.

G-Eazy

Del Rey was seen with rapper G-Eazy a Coachella in 2017 and then they were then photographed in Hollywood. They seemed to have a few fun summer months, but G-Eazy went on to date Halsey that fall. Though it was brief, many think the two have continually referred to one another in their music since.

Some think Del Rey’s song “White Mustang” is about G-Eazy. In 2018, she changed lyrics in the track from “Couldn’t stop the way I was feeling the day your record dropped” to “Couldn’t stop the way I was feeling the day his record dropped and it wasn't even that good.”

Some fans think that G-Eazy was was talking about Del Rey on his song “Moana” with Jack Harlow where he raps, “I know a Keisha and I know Lana / They try to get me back, but I’m like, ‘No, nah, nah’ / I’m sorry, I don’t want no drama / Nah, that’s a hard no, pass.”

Sean Larkin

Del Rey dated former police officer turned reality star Sean Larkin beginning sometime in 2019, when they were seen having a date in Central Park. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, she said, “I didn’t know we were being photographed. I would’ve worn something different.”

She went more public with Larkin and brought him to the Grammy Awards, but they split in 2020.

“Right now, we’re just friends,” Larkin said in an interview with The New York Times that March. “We still talk and whatnot, we just have busy schedules right now.”

Clayton Johnson

Del Rey was briefly engaged to musical artist Clayton Johnson, who performs with his two brothers under the band name The Johnsons, according to People. They supposedly met on a dating app early in 2020. But by late 2021, it appeared to be over and Johnson deleted all of his pictures with Del Rey on Instagram.

“She’s been working on the new album,” a source told the Mirror. “Lockdown had its struggles and they have sadly gone their separate ways.”

Jack Donoghue

Salem’s Jack Donoghue shared a clip with Del Rey at a monster truck race on his Instagram Story in early 2022 in which the singer referred to him as “babe.” Rumors they were dating continued to flare up throughout the year, especially after he shared a photo of them together at Chicago’s Cook County Department of Corrections facility. He captioned it, “family visit.”

The two seemed to stop hanging out, but never confirmed nor denied a relationship.

Evan Winiker

In September 2022, Del Rey was seen at the Malibu Chili Cook-Off with Range Media Partners artist-manager Evan Winiker. In March 2023, Billboard reported they were engaged. But then in November of that year, she said in an interview for Harper’s Bazaar that she was single.

“I’m definitely not in love right now. No,” she said. “Absolutely not in love. Have been, but no.”

She added, “It hasn’t crossed my mind in the last five months on the road or here yet. But give it a week. My history, sure, it’s coming for me at some point. Yeah. It would be interesting if it didn’t.”

Jeremy Dufrene

In August 2024, rumors started circulating that Del Rey was dating Jeremy Dufrene, who runs an airboat tour company in Des Allemands, Louisiana, near New Orleans. They were spotted in London holding hands just before she performed at Leeds Festival. The two met at least as early as 2019, when she took a tour with him while visiting the southern city. Dufrene shared a photo of them together, writing, “I never know who I can run across on my tours but always a pleasure @lanadelrey.”

Despite the pictures and rumors, Del Rey seemingly denied any kind of relationship with a comment on TikTok where the video discusses the potential pairing, writing simply, “No.”
